A Message from Our Head Teacher

Dear Parents and Carers, 

I am delighted to be writing to you as the Headteacher of St David's RC PS and ELC. It is a real privilege to be part of such a special community, and I am very excited about the journey ahead for us all.  I am passionate about giving every child the chance to grow and shine; leadership is for everyone at St David's!

In our school, our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do, and on our badge you will see it says "Mundum Pro Christo Vincamus" which means "conquer the world of Christ!" a perfect message that we should learn about our world as a community of love and service. We look to our patron, St David, whose life of faith and wise leadership reminds us to serve others and stay true to our values; loyalty, responsibility, and kindness. 

Our vision, “enabling everyone to flourish,” is what drives us every day. We want our children from our ELC right up to P7, not only to learn, but to grow as individuals, who are confident, responsible, effective and successful in their own way.

Alongside our Values, we have our Standards; Ready, Respectful, Safe! These help us to hold consistently high expectations for all, as every child from our ELC up to P7 has the right to the best education we can give them.

My door is always open, and I hope you will feel able to come and talk with me, share ideas, or simply say hello in the playground. I am thrilled to be part of St David's and I look forward to the many successes we will bring to the school as one big team!
